The Atlanta-DeKalb Trails

Looping trail near Freedom Parkway

Working with citizens and county officials, PATH has developed a master plan for 124 miles of trails through DeKalb County. The most recent addition for the DeKalb Trail System is the Arabia Mountain Greenway Trail which connects historic downtown Lithonia to Stonecrest Mall, the Arabia Mountain Nature Center, and over 1000 acres of forest and rock outcroppings.

Stone Mountain Trail

A 17-mile trail from the Martin Luther King Center to Stone Mountain Park. Fourteen miles of this trail are greenway trails, with the remaining three miles on road. The trail continues into the park, connecting with the bike/pedestrian facility that circles the mountain.

Chastain Park Trail

The three-mile path around Chastain Park is one of PATH's most popular trails. Surveys indicate an average of up to 250 joggers, dog-walkers, cyclists and rollerbladers use the trail each hour. A second loop adjacent to the northern end of the park above the Galloway School is under development.
