His Story:  Catalyst Sports is an Atlanta based non-profit whose mission is to give people with physical disabilities access to the life changing impact of adventure within a supportive and inclusive community. On September 11th of 2012 Catalyst took a group of disabled veterans up the Grand Teton in Jackson Wyoming. Following this successful summit they hosted the largest adaptive climbing clinic in the country at Stone Summit Climbing and Fitness. Catalyst now operates in 9 cities throughout the southeast and is in the process of expanding its offerings to include kayaking, cycling, and mountain biking. In 2016 Catalyst hosted an adaptive cycling clinic at the Floyd Road Trailhead on the Silver Comet Trail for individuals with disabilities to access the trail. Since then they have been renting out these bikes from a trailer in Roswell. Because of the growth and need of this program and the generous support of the community. Catalyst Sports will be placing a 40' shipping container on the side of the Silver Comet Trail in order to provide regular programs as well as year round rentals.

Details:
The Floyd Road Trailhead of the Silver Comet Trail is our favorite location because it not only helped launch our adaptive cycling program but come this fall it will provide accessibility to individuals with disabilities for years to come.
