The Story: There are so many local artist and farmer’s markets along or near trails throughout the Atlanta area. Enjoy a weekend (or weekday) by stocking up on local food and goods. Support Local!


Details:
Freedom Farmer’s Market at the Carter Center. Pick up the east side of the Freedom Park Trail or ride on the Stone Mountain Trail to visit the Freedom Farmer’s Market at the Carter Center parking lot on Saturday’s between 8:30am and noon.

Check out the Green Market at Piedmont Park. Take the Eastside Beltline into Piedmont Park to the the 12th Street entrance of the Park. Open on Saturdays from 9am to 1pm.

Try out the Sunday Funday Markets off the Westside BeltLine Trail by Best End Brewing Co. Includes Handmade Goods, Local Arts and Crafts, Food and Drinks and Live Music. Sundays from 1pm to 5pm.

The Avondale Farmer’s Market is a way to enjoy an afternoon out and about. After a trek along the East Decatur Greenway, hop on over about a half a mile east to the Avondale Farmers Market. Sundays from 10am–1pm.

The Decatur Farmers Market is near the corner of Commerce Street and Clairemont Avenue in Decatur. You can take the Stone Mountain Trail to pick up the Decatur PATH. Wednesdays from 4pm-7pm.

Ponce City Farmers Market is right off the Eastside BeltLine Trail under “The Shed” at Ponce City Market. Open each Wednesday from 4pm-8pm. After you get your goods you can relax with dinner and drinks at PCM!
