About: The Silver Comet Trail is the longest, continuous, paved trail in the United States at 94 miles when coupled with the Chief Ladiga Trail in Alabama (33 miles). The Silver Comet is a 12-foot wide, flat grade trail from Cobb County, Georgia to the Alabama stateline, west of Cedartown. It has restrooms, signs, benches and trash receptacles along the way. It features breathtaking trestles, a 700 foot-long tunnel, some of the most beautiful vistas in Georgia and passes through or very near four towns with restaurants and shops. Definitely a cyclists dream.
